The Adventures of Stella Luna: My Beginning

Hello there! My name is Stella Luna. I know, I know, it says my name is Anna Pearl, but that's my mom. She's writing this for me, because duh! I have paws.

Now, as I began before, my name is Stella Luna. And you're going to hear my name a lot. Well... actually sorta. Nobody really calls me that. Mama calls me Stella and everyone else just calls me something along the lines of "what a cute dog!"

I've learned it always means me. Because I am a dog. A service dog, actually. But let me backtrack a little bit.

Mama got me in April of 2022 as a 9-month-old puppy. My previous owners had used rather heavy-handed tactics to "train" me, and ended up giving me up when they had a baby. From there, I moved across states to a small rescue shelter in a small town in New England (America). Now, many of you might not know what New England consists of, but most people see it as containing New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. Aaaand some people throw in some other states too, but I'm not too sure about them. They're mighty suspicious. (Or I just forgot the actual states in New England and am trying to cover it up, but I would never do that. Dogs are innocent, you see.) When Mama got me, the only things I knew were "sit" (sometimes) and "paw". I also pretended to know "down" sometimes, but I was very temperamental about that so I promptly forgot that one. Much to my owners chagrin.

It took me a lot of different levels of training to get this far. I mean, not all dogs reach my level of excellency. *ahem* But we went to Petco, where I finished basic training and earned my Canine Good Citizen award, and moved on to the next level: service dog prep.

They really drilled me here, you have to understand. But it was fun, too. I got to meet a new friend, a Siberian Husky named Athena Rose (I'll link her YouTube below. She's brilliant!) and she taught me how to walk beside a shopping cart, how to stand by my owner in a checkout line full of yummy goodies, and even how to curl up by my owner's feet while on an airplane!

As you can tell, they prepped me for just about everything I was about to encounter. So guess what, my friends? You're in for a treat.
